Delivering much-needed affordable housing, including social homes for rent.

Supporting South Bucks District Council to deliver critical affordable housing stock for the local community, our team is creating a major housing development in Tatling End, Gerrards Cross.

This involves demolishing existing homes and an old police station in Tatling End, before replacing new homes ready for 21st century living.

Once completed, the new housing project will include 34 new energy efficient apartments, 20 of which will be one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments available for private rent, with the remaining 14 two-bedroom apartments let at affordable sub-market rent.

Procured via Major Works England & Northern Ireland, part of our National Construction framework, construction will take around 14 months, with the final project set to complete by summer 2020.

The project required the demolition of a three-storey former police station and six houses, to create 34 new homes.

The site is located just off the A40 which allows easy access to amenities such as schools, shops, medical facilities, leisure sites, work opportunities, with excellent transport links to the motorway.

As part of their framework commitment to delivering social value, Willmott Dixon are providing work experience and apprenticeship opportunities to ensure that the project delivers maximum value to the local community.

The team brings residential experience from affordable homes built recently in the neighbouring district of St Albans.

“This is an exciting new project that will not only enhance the area, but will provide much-needed new homes for the community.”

Patrick Hogan - Cabinet Member for Health and Communities, South Bucks District Council
